The party of joy doing what it does best. Destroying innocent lives. Heartbreaking.

This is heartbreaking! I know I am not thinking highly of the person who made the decision to euthanize animals being held on a farm sanctuary or the people who were complaining about it creating a tragic outcome. I am so sorry their babies where torn from them!!!

I do not understand this. I have a friend who had a wildlife rescue. She had a squirrel in her home as he could not adapt to his natural habitat. He became a family pet to her children. Her squirrel died of complications of an illness. He had his own cage and was well taken care of. Why if a squirrel is being taken care of and cannot be released to its natural habitat because he will not survive do ARMED officers of the court have to raid an animal sanctuary to nab a healthy squirrel and raccoon and kill them. This is absolutely ludicrous.

My grandfather found a baby raccoon lying next to its dead mother. He took it home, bottle feed it and kept Rocky as a pet. The coon died of natural curiosity. It got into the neighbor's garage and turned on a propane tank and gassed himself. Up to that point, he'd been fine. I should tell you Grampa also raised an ocelot from a kitten to a fifty pound cat. He also had a South American fruit squirrel named Joey. For a short while there was a six foot boa constrictor at his home. Never once did anyone question his having theses "wild" animals.

Shouldn't someone have actually looked into these anonymous complaints before storming the home of people trying to do the right thing? One would think some research into these alligations would prove someone was jealous of this family for doing the right thing.

The government acting like they are our keepers.

Those poor little creatures fell into the hands of inhumane SOBs.

I'm sure the family is heartbroken.

I raise squirrels and they are very loving little characters so can relate and feel their grief.

Think about this for a moment and ask yourself if it was a rabies issue then why aren’t all squirrels and raccoons being rounded up and euthanized in all cities.
