No the color of guns isn’t the problem. We need more mental health in schools to help kids that have behavior problems. We also need to teach children at a very early age to treat each other with respect, kindness and stop all bullying. Kids need boundaries and parents need to find common ground with teachers on how to make that respect also to be followed up at home

We need to change what we do in education. Kindergarten is the most important year of a child's life. It's where they learn to socialize. We have taken that away from them and are making them do first grade work in Kindergarten. They need this time to learn to get along and how to handle things when they don't go their way. We need to teach kindness, not only in stories and by helping them get along, but also by our own actions. If we see a child bullying another, we need to help them understand this is not okay. If a child is different for whatever reason, we need to teach kids how to include them. These are all skills that used to be taught in kindergarten. Now we make them go all day instead of half a day. These kids go home dead tired. If they are not getting enough sleep at home, that could be an issue. Maybe an afternoon nap or rest period could help. We need to give them 15 min to run off steam in the morning and again in the afternoon. Lunch should be 45 min so they have time to eat instead of tossing half their lunch because they are afraid of losing a much needed recess. It's not a gun issue.
