U. S. Southern Border – The United States Customs and Border Protection has warned Border Patrol of an increased number of Haitian migrants due to rampant violence in the Caribbean country.
Brandon Judd, a Border Patrol agent who also serves as the president of the National Border Patrol Council, says that fleeing Hatians may take more than one route to get into the United States. WASHINGTON D.C — The United States government on Saturday announced it is chartering flights to get American citizens in Haiti to safety.
This comes as American officials prepare to see more Haitian migrants coming into the U.S. as the situation in their own country becomes more dire amid a surge in gang violence.
