Mom: Man grabs 8-year-old daughter at Michigan store and drags her into bathroom
The mom speaks out to me about the experience and the message to all parents
I am making this free to everyone. I think everyone needs to read this. This is a story that could happen anywhere at any time.
I left the mainstream media so I could tell stories like this. I spent more than 30 minutes talking to the mom of this little girl.

Mom Sydney Kitchen tells me she was shopping at a thrift store in Sandusky, Michigan when a man who was working at the store grabbed her eight=year-old daughter and dragged her into the bathroom.
Sydney says her younger son alerted her what was going on and the man released his sister. Sydney says she was not even ten feet away when this happened.
According to Sydney the man claimed the girl had followed him into the bathroom.
19-year-old Andrew Hakeem Jewell was charged with assault and assault and batter which is a misdemeanor.
After digging through court records I learned Jewell was on probation for a crime he committed one year ago in Saginaw County, Michigan.
Sydney will be contacting the Sanillac County Prosecutor’s office in hopes of having the charge enhanced.
I will keep you updated on this story when I learn more.
There is part two of the story I am working on.
It turns out, the man Sydney says was living in a halfway house in Sandusky near a school. I am working on that and will have more here on Substack and my Locals community later in the week.
Dave - This is a very important story to dig into for the community. I think that many of us in Michigan have been somewhat complacent about our safety in familiar surroundings. We have to become more situationally aware and ready to spring into action. You don’t say in the article, but I assume that the young girl is ok.
