Several firefighters have been shot. Officials are unsure exactly how many have been shot or if any have been killed.
Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office reported an active shooter. “Injuries are reported, but the extent is unknown,” the alert said. A shelter-in-place order covers areas south of Hayden Lake Road and east of 15th Street.

Idaho Gov. Brad Little called the attack “heinous.” He urged prayers for victims. Northern Lakes Fire Chief Pat Riley expressed grief. “You never want to see it in your own community,” he said.
Over 65 emergency vehicles and helicopters flooded the area. Witnesses reported dozens of gunshots. Unconfirmed claims suggest the fire was intentional bait.
Police say the shooter is currently active and police are working to take the shooter out.
This is a terrible tragedy. My prayers are with the families who lost a loved one today. As well as those injured and still taking fire. I hope they neutralize the hell out of the shooter or shooters. Show no mercy for them.
